Hey,

I want to set up an 'Emergency Button' in Outlook.

I want to click on it, have an email open which contains a set message to a
set group of people and all I have to do is click send.

Is this possible? I am a complete idiot when it comes to these things so
please be gentle.

Thanks in advance

Write the email and Save and Close it. It's now in your Drafts folder. Go
there and make a few copies of it ( I use Ctrl C and Ctrl V).

Open it and send it whenever you need to.

Make sure to keep some spare copies!

Are you sick of bad email practice? Get a copy of my paper "Implementing
Email Policy" from the Desk Doctors website.

Can recipients be saved in the To/Cc/Bcc fields in a template? If so,
the user could just use the template to send the same message to the
same list of recipients. No, no toolbar button (unless you add code for
it) but instead select the template when sending a new message.
Probably no more difficult than reusing a saved message in the Drafts
folder - but only if recipients can be saved in template (of which I'm
not sure).

Yes, as I recall you can save recipients in a template. It's been a
while since I've tried, but I'm 95% sure it works.

Or instead of making several copies of it., just make one and use Forward to
open it, then click Send.

As long as you are going to save it as an oft-file, then you can also easily
make a button for it without using code by using the "Assign Hyperlink"
option when customizing your toolbar.
See http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/customizetoolbar.htm

Well, there's a new one for me. Never used the Assign Hyperlink feature
for a toolbar button to change its function. Well, creating a template
and redefining a toolbar button to point at it should give the OP what
he wants.
