J JWooden271 Apr 21, 2004 #3 Your WindowsXP install disc is your recovery disc. It has a (half-baked) "recovery console" tool. A DOS boot disk (like those made by Win9x) is utterly useless (other than for format and fdisk) on a machine with WinXP with NTFS.
