Your question caused me to experiment with this, and I confess I was
surprised by the results. I would have expected "embossed" and "engraved" to
use a shade of gray, but in my copy of Word, at least, they use yellow (and
the font color is set to <nothing>). If you try to change the font color to
anything else, you get colored text with a yellow outline. Very weird. I can
see that the yellow would print gray on a monochrome printer, but surely it
would print yellow on a color one. I can't imagine what MS were thinking if
this is the way it works for everyone.
