Hi. I am brand new to FrontPage. What we need to do is
create a newsletter with pictures and text and we want to
email this to our clients. We tried this and saved the
doc as .html but the pictures are saved externally. We
don't want to have to attach all the pictures to the
email. Any help would be appreciated. Maybe FrontPage
isn't even the software to use.

Thank you

Cindy

One way to avoid sending the images along with the page is to change the html url's for the images to absolute urls and store the images online... http://www.yourwebsitename.com/yourimagefoldername/yourimage.jpg(or whatever)

I've never tried it but it should work. If I'm wrong the gurus will correct me.

That's correct. The only slight problem is that Outlook 2003 defaults to not
showing pictures in HTML email, so a lot of users won't see your pictures
unless they click to download.

I get around this problem by sending a text-only email
newsletter. At the top I include a URL for the full-color
online version with photos for those who want it. I've had
no complaints for this approach.

Dang...I'm still using Outlook 1849

And I get around that by using Publisher and saving the resultant file as a
..pdf. I can email that to anyone, no problem.
