PP 2002 -

I have a presenation with hyperlinks to JPEG's and video clips. The
hyperlinks are directed to files on my computer. Naturally, when I forward
the presentation to someone else the hyperlinks are worthless. Is there a way
to embed the files in the presentation? If so, how? Thanks, JS

You cant embed movies you could place the jpegs on a slide and hyperlink to it.

For movies (and jpegs if you want) place them in the same folder as the
presentation and insert. Then send the whole folder and ask the recipient to
put the folder on the hard drive keeping the path to it as short as possible
(eg on C:/)

Thanks John. I appreciate the help. I will use the folder idea which seems to
be the most logical and easiest. Thanks again - JS

Normally, JPEGs are embedded. If you go to the Insert Menu and choose
Picture and From File, find the picture and click on Insert, rather than
choosing the dropdown menu and picking "Link to file." Videos are always
linked. Your best bet is save the video in the same folder as the
PowerPoint and then insert the video. Then, you have to send both files
together, but the video should continue to work as long as it remains in
the same folder as the PowerPoint. Alternatively, you could try a tool
like PFCExpress (http://www.pfcmedia.com/) to have it automatically
packaged for you in a nice, easy way for emailing.
