Can anyone help please? I have a PP show with a WMAV file placed in one of
the slides. The show is copied to a CDR that will only play the WMAV file on
my computer. When I try to run the entire PP show from CD on othe XP
systems, the slide show plays but the WMAV file does'nt play when clicked.
(I've tried copying the WMAV file into the same folder with the original
PPpresentation, placing the local WMAV file in the presentation and saving it
as a show - again, when I burn a CDR the video file will play on my system
but not on anyone elses). I want to have multiple copies of the slide show
to send out - how can I fix this problem and have the entire show run as it's
meant to?

Thanks for your reply, but the problem is that it is a audio/video clip, the
audio is synched to the visuals as the one clip, so I can't seperate the
audio from the video images. I've already tried putting the WMAV file in the
same folder as the presentation, deleting it from the presentation and then
re-inserting that into the relevant PP slide. When it's saved as a PPS to CDR
(or viewing it in 'Slide Show - View Show') it will play fine in my system,
but once it's all copied to a CDR, it doesn't play on anyone elses.

Put the WAV into the same folder with the presentation, then delete the
sound from your presentation and reinsert it.

If this is a WMV files (Windows Media file with video and audio) then it is not
embedded in the presentation and must also be copied to the CD. (I'm unclear
about what a WMAV file is, but assume that you mean WMV.) The reason that it
plays fine on your system, even from the CD, is because it is linked in the
presentation and PowerPoint is able to find the file on your hard drive. On
other systems, PowerPoint (or the Viewer) will look on the CD for the file. Not
finding it on the CD or the end users hard drive, it won't play.

Sorry, I read WMAV as WAV. I should have asked for clarification.

Assuming that this is a WMV file, then, try the same thing. Put the WMV into
your folder with your presentation, delete the WMAV from the presentation,
then reinsert it.

But both the presentation and the WMAV file to the CD.
