embedded ole - can't open scrap.shs file

I have a power point presentation with an embedded xcel worksheet. I
selected the worksheet, ctrl c, and then pasted into a folder. It created a
scrap.shs file. If I double click the file, it will open excel. Like an
idiot, I changed the "open with" property of this file and I can't open it
now. If I re-cut-and-paste from powerpoint, I still can't open the file.
This is probably not a powerpoint issue but I didn't know where to post this.
How do I change it back? a Shell option that works is not in the pulldown.
I am using w2k pro.

I don't know off the top of my head the easiest way for you to reset the
file association, but I do know that
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00670.htm should help you extract the
Excel info from PPT so that it's an Excel file.
