Embedded image moved to file

I noticed where someone else posted a similar question as what I am asking,
but I didn't see any responses that was helpful. When I have an e-mail that
has photos embedded into it, Outlook automatically changes it into a file. Is
there a way to stop this? One person posted that it was a problem with the
sender -- not the receipient.. but, i was the sender. I saw them just fine on
my computer at work, and I just forwarded them to my home address. Once
downloaded to outlook, my files have been changed and my e-mail that had
pictures in it is screwed up. I'm sure it's just a security feature.. but,
shouldn't there be a way to turn it off?

Thanks so much!

Images embedded into html email should show up find as embedded images
unless you are perhaps reading the message as plain text.
Outlook 2007 can show previews of attached images without opening them and
Outlook Express/Windows Mail can show attached images inline. You might be
seeing on of these on you work machine.

At work, I use Lotus Notes... at home I use Outlook 2003. But, when I go
online to view them at webmail.bellsouth.net after I have sent them from my
Lotus Notes account, they show up fine. That's why I was thinking it was a
feature somewhere in Outlook.
