Hello,

I am placing (hoping to) a PP presentation as an
attachment on a website. Anyway I can "embed" the video
contained in one of the slides? Currently the presentation
works when played locally as the link is o.k. between the
clip and the presentation. When the presention is placed
on the website the video is no longer available as the
link has been broken. I cannot use a FrontPage type of
uploading which includes a separate folder for video etc.

Thanks,

Video is always linked in PowerPoint. The best way to avoid broken links is
to put your video in the same folder as your presentation file, then create
the link to it. When you upload the PPT file to the web, be sure to put the
video file in the same folder as the PPT file.

I'm pretty sure that won't work because when users click on the .PPT file and
open the file it will be downloaded to their Internet Temp folder and played
from there, but the video file won't be there. The best thing would be to zip
the two files together and require the user to unzip the files to a folder on
their system and play the presentation from there.

Good point - The other thing that concerns me is that the OP might have been
talking about putting an HTMLed presentation up on the web. In that case,
all bets are off - The links change totally when you send it to the server.

Thank-you very much for the suggestions. Based on your
input I have everything working from the video and audio
standpoint.
