Emails sent whilst computer down

my system crashed last week and I had to wipe everything and reinstall all
software. I was expecting some emails during this time but windows mail only
dragged through the emails sent after the restore. Is there a way of getting
the emails sent prior to the restore back? Many Thanks
 
It depends on your definition of "wipe".
If you just reinstalled Vista, all your old data will be saved in a folder
named Windows.old.
