I'm assuming that your using Microsoft Outlook. What you need to do is go to
the tools tab from the main menu in outlook, then select "services"
This will open a pop up window titles Services with 3 tabs, they are
services, Delivery & Addressing. The Services tab should be automatically
selected. In this tab there is a window titled "the Following information
services are set up in this profile;"
Below this heading will be a list of services for example Outlook Address
Book, Personal folders and there will also be your Internet Email profile
that you set up. Select this (Highlight this[it may be the first on the list
and already highlighted]) then select properties.
This will open another pop up window with the name of your email profile,
there should be 4 tabs, General, Servers, Connection, & Advanced.
Click Advanced
At the bottom you will see a heading titled Delivery, directly below this is
a check box titled Z"Leave a copy of messages on server" REMOVE THE CHECK
FROM THIS BOX, It should NOT have a tick in the box. Then click apply, then
click OK on each of the pop up windows that are open, a message will appear
saying that changes will not appear until outlook is restarted.
Close down outlook and restart, press send and receive, you will get all
your email that is on the server once more, however it will have removed the
email from the server this time once it has finished downloading and all the
email will be on yout computer. When you press send & receive again you will
notice that the messages that you have deleted have not reappeared.
That's it
