Emails appear in Task list

Outlook 2007 on Exchange server

Is there a way to stop emails from appearing in my task list? Many of my
users flag their emails for today, and those clutter my task list. I know
that I can clear the flags, but I'd rather they just not appear.

Sometimes the simplest answers escape me. I just discovered that the "Simple
List" doesn't include emails. I'd been through options and tried all sorts
of stuff, but I guess I hadn't tried that.
