Emailing a web page

Hi All, hope you can help me
I made a simple one page web page using the word template and I want to email the page to a friend as well as uploading the file to my uni discussion board
When I do either of these things, the web page loses it's background and graphics. I changed the file path from htm to doc but this didn't do any good either
My assignment is due and I need help

You need the page plus the directory of the same name.
