I have created a PP with several avi's. I have zipped up the files, both the PP and avi's, and emailed them. When the recipient gets the PP, the opening "frame" of the avi is in the PP, but they are unable to play the avi's. They work just fine when I play the PP on my computer, and the recipient has the identical system (we all have the same laptops in our school district). Am I not "linking" them correctly, or something

Thank you in advance for your help

Dave

That's a good guess, Dave. The way you link them is critical. They must be
linked as "relative" to the presentation. Put all of the AVI's in the same
folder as the presentation. Then open PowerPoint and open the presentation.
Delete the AVI's and then re-insert them, this time pointing to their new
location. Save the presentation and zip it up again and email it. Have the
end user unzip the file to a folder on their system and run the
presentation. It should work fine now.

If you have the avi files in the same folder as the presentation before you make
the links, and if they are kept together after they are unzipped, they should
play. Can the recipient play the avi file outside of PowerPoint?
