I recently bought a new computer with a Windows XP operating system that
includes Outlook 2003 and Outlook Express. I have been using O.E. for my
email, however, I would like to use Outlook for my email. When I select the
option to use Outlook for my email. I am able to send email from Outlook,
but, incoming email still comes in on O.E.

What do I have to do to have my incoming email directed to the Outlook
screen?

Internet Options>Programs>select Outlook as the default. Tip--In OE, open the
acct properties and select Leave Mail on Server so you can use it sometimes,
yet the email will still be there for Outlook.
 
In addition to what Mary said, also uncheck the box in OE Account General
tab to "include this account in send/receive..."

Hi Mary:

Can you give me the complete paths. I can't find Internet Options within
Outlook. Nor can I find Leave Mail on Server in account properties.

It's in Internet Explorer under the Tools menu.

In Outlook, Tools>E-mail Accounts>Next. Select the account, click Change,
then More Settings. Click the Advanced tab. It's there.

If you don't want mail to be received by Outlook Express, then don't run
Outlook Express. It can't receive mail if you don't start it.
