On my computer with WinXP I have different email accounts, which I can move
between. On my new laptop with WinVista all email appears, no matter which
account is logged in. How do I set up email so that only email to the logged
in account appears?

That depends. If you need the additional privacy, you could put different
email accounts on separate Windows user logins.

If privacy is not the issue, there are three other solutions:
1. Get the WMIDs utility (not free):
http://www.oehelp.com/WMIDs
2. Use message rules to direct incoming mail into separate
inboxes.
3. Upgrade to WLM which has a separate inbox for each account:

Thanks, Gary-I entered "user logins" in search and came up with a long list
of people with the same problem. I will now search for setting up user
logins- I thought I had set up one for each user- two icons appear in any
case. If I can't find the answer there I'll get back to you. Cheese you
must be tired of the same questions! Kudos to your patience.
Also, there seems to be a user- "Julian" that uses offensive language and
makes no contribution to problems- see under "linus server hacked-" can't MS
block this sort of abuser?
