Gayle George

I am finding email messages everyday in my suspect email that are written
as if in a code to someone. Today there were eight of these kind of
messages. I cannot tell if some are answering each other or not. How do I
get rid of these people and should I turn them in to security?

You could limit your damage by not using your proper email on public
newsgroups such as this one. Spammers are very clever people. They
have special programs that can harvest email addresses from anywhere on
the web.

Can you not just make up something when you post here such as:

(e-mail address removed)

Gayle - It is common to get spam and virus-laden emails. Delete those
emails unopened. Make sure you are using your ISP's spam filtering
option (if any) and set up some Outlook Express message rules. Make
sure you have a current version (not earlier than 2005) antivirus
installed with an active subscription and updated virus definitions.

Anonymous - While you are correct that one should never post one's real
unmunged email address on Usenet or messageboards, it is bad practice
to use what might be someone else's real domain. You can use the domain
invalid.com which is never assigned to anyone. Here is a link
explaining how to munge your email address:
