Email Won't Move to Outlook (Intermittent)

I can open the ISP Inbox page and see Emails but (often)
they won't move to Outlook to be opened. They have finally
moved to Outlook after (1) reading one within the ISP
Inbox or (2)Deleting some unwanted emails within ISP
Inbox, and (3) Re-clicking Send/Receive. What can keep
email from going into Outlook INTERMITTENTLY. It used to
work flawlessly and log-jam has grown more frequent; I
have changed no settings to cause this.

A very large message might do this.
