I am using Windows XP, Internet Explorer, and Outlook Express 6. Previously,
I could open My Pictures in my Documents in Windows XP, highlight a photo
and click on the left-hand side bar: "email this file" and the file would be
emailed through Outlook Express. Now, when I click, it opens a box that says
"Choose a profile" but the only name available is Microsoft Outlook and I
use Outlook Express 6. How do I change this setting to Outlook Express 6? If
I type in Outlook Express in place of Microsoft Outlook, a new box comes up
saying: "The Profile name is not valid. Enter a valid profile name." I do
not know how or why this process was changed and how do I change it back to
my original use?

Set Outlook Express as the default email client.

Click Start, Run and type the following commands one by one:

%ProgramFiles%\Outlook Express\MSIMN.EXE /REG
regsvr32 "%ProgramFiles%\Outlook Express\msoe.dll"

Ramesh,
Thank you so much for this reply. I have been trying to solve this problem
for 2 months and everyone else just gave me a "run around". Your advice
worked and I am grateful for your help.
