email stuck in outbox

Using Outlook 2002. My outbox is showing (1) waiting to be sent. When I go in the outbox nothing is there. I can send other e-mails just fine, however, the outbox still shows (1) waiting all the time. I think I clicked on an e-mail sitting in the outbox and changed the status/deleted it or something. How do I clear the outbox when there is no e-mail in there? TI

Change/reset your view to make it visible. Most likely the view is set to
only view unread messages
