Create a new PST. Click Tools>Services. Highlight your account and click
Properties. Click the Delivery tab. Change the delivery location to your
new PST. Click OK enough to get back to Outlook. Stop and restart Outlook.
Delete the message from the old inbox and change the delivery location back
to what it was by using the same steps as above. Stop/restart Outlook,
close the new PST to remove it from your Folders View.
I have tried this and several other options to get rid of the email.
I am using Outlook 2000, the email and it's attachment is 751KB. I
repaired my personal folder with the inbox repair tool and no errors,
I have created a whole new profile and new PST and it still would not
let me delete. I have cleared all of my add ons, tried to delete and
still no luck. It was an email I created five days ago, through an
automated applicaiton and my outlook crashed as I was sending it. I
am at my wits end to try and clear this off. It is not holding up my
outgoing email. I am on a corporate workgroup set up. I receive my
incoming email with no problems that I can see. the only other option
I have not tried is un-installing and re-installing outlook. Really
not wanting to do that so if anyone has any other suggestions, I would
greatly appreciate it. Thanks
