I switched from Outlook Express to Outlook and I noticed that the time sent
on emails I was sending was displayed as one hour earlier even though my PC
clock is set at the correct time. When I send emails with Outlook Express,
the displayed time sent is correct. Thanks for any suggestions

which version of Outlook are you suing and what service pack is installed.
Try updating to the latest service pack first.

Mismatch between your PC's time zone/DST and Outlook's time zone/DST. Make
sure they both agree.

I'm using Outlook 2002(sp3), Outlook Express6 (xpxp_sp2), Windows XP Pro (sp2)
and now I'm finding the sent time correct but the received time is one hour
earlier
(I did a test by sending an email to myself). I've checked my PC time zone
settings and my Outlook calendar & timezone settings and they are both the
same so I'm baffled. Originally, the sent time was off (one hour earlier)
and now it's OK...the received time is now wrong for both Outlook & Outlook
Express. Thanks for your response.

Thanks for your response, BT. I checked my PC timezone settings and
Outlook's settings and they both agree. See my reply to BillR - the sent
time is correct now and now the received time is off by 1 hour. A minor
problem but still rather vexing.
PC seems to be performing a bit quirky since downloading SP2 update. I also
only used Outlook Express6 (without any problem until I switched to Outlook
2002).

Just to be absolutely clear, did you check Tools>Options>Calendar
Options>Time Zone?

I had this problem, and resolved it by unchecking "Adjust for Daylight
Savings Time" in Tools>Options>Calendar>Options>Time Zone. This has to match
the setting in Date and Time Zone Properties for the operating system.

Since it is now Standard Time, I've gone back and checked boxes in both
places, which has corrected the problem.
