I have decent knowledge about my system. I'm no expert, but normally I can
figure out what's going on. I recently had a computer bozo (sorry he screwed
things up!) look at my network configuration. I had to work in the other
room. When I came back he had installed a 2nd xp on my system! I got rid of
him. I had backed up everything before he touched my system. I had to
reinstall xp pro. Before he looked at my system, my email worked fine, no
problems at all. Now, I can receive from both programs (2 different emails,
OE6 & Incredimail xe). I cannot send mail. I can post on OE6. I can send
mail from the webmail program from the isp. I contacted the isp. Everything
is setup the ways it's supposed to be (pop3 & smtp). I removed Norton,
turned off firewall. Still cannot send. Any one have any ideas?

If you have problems sending, there is something wrong with your SMTP
settings. Most often this will be because the ISP requires you to use a
username/password for SMTP - or not - and you have it set the wrong
way. Here's an Earthlink page with pictures which will show you where
to look:

Scroll down to the bottom part of the page to Item 19.

What happens when you try to send mail using OE? Post any error messages in
their entirety.

Did you not notice the fatal word "incredimail" in the original post?
