email saving

I have a personal folders section, and two other sections with my email
addresses's names. My personal folder does nothing. I have no email coming
there. My other two email addresses (IMAP) only save my email for one week.
I really need help with this and can't find anyone to go to or that can help
me. I don't know what my personal folder is for, and I don't know why I
can't have my email kept longer instead of automatically deleted. I don't
have any rules or filters applied. Who can I go to to assist me or does
anyone there know what to do? Much appreciation!

Your Personal Folder is for storing email locally on your HDD. Download
emails from your IMAP sever, and if you want to keep them, move them
into your Personal Folder.

Is it possible that I could just leave them alone and they would stay in my
inbox instead? I also don't know how to move them to my personal folder.

I'm not particularly familiar with IMAP setups I'm afraid!

Select the emails, right-click and choose "Move"
