hi,cant work this one out.i have set up the user accounts on xp pro with
myself as admin.at the start screen when you can log on to each account
i get a message under my login button saying i have 14 unread
emails.Hmmmmmm.I am using avg free and did not have a problem until i
set up seperate user accounts.
As far as i understand the email address is my daughters not mine and
is being read by AVG email scanner.I presume that Avg thinks my
daughters email is mine, can you give some help to stop this please
thankyou.

Compliments of Kelly:

Use TweakUI/Logon/Unread Mail and Repair/Unread Mail Count

Disable Unread Mail on the Welcome Screen (Line 100)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

To remove an account or to change the count manually:

Start>Run>Regedit>navigate to this key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail\[Your
E-Mail Address]. In the right pane modify: Message Count, Change it to 0.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail. In
the right pane modify: MessageExpiryDays Change it to 0.
