Does anyone know of a way I can take my outlook express emails on my laptop
and put them into my windows vista on my desktop?

Sure.

Copy all of the .dbx files (including folders.dbx) from the XP computer to a
temporary folder on the Vista computer
Open Windows Mail, File - Import - Messages - Microsoft Outlook Express 6
import from OE6 store directory
find the temporary folder where you copied the .dbx files (BUT DON'T OPEN
IT).
Next.... etc.

If you want to import your contacts, copy the .wab file over, and do a
similar File - Import
of the Windows Contacts.

See here:

Bring along the .wab file if you want your old contacts. After you
copy the files to a directory on your new computer's hard drive, but
before you import them into Windows Mail, make sure the copies
are read-write instead of readonly.
