When I select a photo in My Photos folder to email, a
dialog box SHOULD COME UP to reduce the size of the photo
file (make smaller) and then go into email. The dialog
box DOES NOT COME UP. So my photo size is reduced by
about 10-15%, rather than reducing the total size TO
ABOUT 10% of the total size. Is the dialog box file
missing...

Try this:
(it may restore your resize option)

go to...Start / Run and type:

"REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL"
(without the quotes)(Yes, there's
a space between 2 and S)

Click...OK.

Also...

There is a free PowerToy called
ImageResizer...you can download it at
the following link:

http://tinyurl.com/36n

After it's installed, you can open any folder
that contains images and you will have an
option to resize. Just right click the selected
image files and choose Resize Pictures.
You can select one image or a whole group.

The program will place the resized copies in
the folder with your originals.

BTW...when resizing if you go to...Advanced
Button / Custom...and enter 640 in each field...
that will be a good size for e-mail purposes.

Hi John,

I installed the Powertoy Image resizer, but when I highlight a pic in my
Pictures folder, I don`t see any option to resize.

Did I do something wrong ??

Any help appreciated. Phil
