I have configured my email settings under "OPTIONS" and then "ADVANCED OPTIONS" to display a notification and to play a sound but when I receive a new message, nothing happens. I have checked all of the appropriate boxes. I don't see an icon in the system tray, the audio notification doesn't sound. I have tried sending email to myself but still nothing. Please advise. Thanks in advance.

What type of account are we talking about here? Are new incoming messages
going to your primary Inbox?

No, its an added email account from MSN, but I configured the settings in
the "advanced email options" menu to play a sound and display notification
in the system tray, still nothing. Please advise. This is driving me mad.
I would like to resolve this once and for all.
