Email notification alerts

Hi All,

I have a minor problem. I used to receive email notification alerts from MSN Messenger 6.1. When I receive them, I click on the Alert box and it jumps me right into my web broswer which is Internet Explorer to check my hotmail account. Now, I'm not sure what happen but I'm not getting these alerts. I do have "Display alerts when email is received" checked. Why's going wrong?

Have you logged into Hotmail recently? Your account may just be marked as "inactive" -- to
make it "active" again, go to http://www.hotmail.com, login, and then go to your Inbox. Then
sign out of Messenger and sign back in.
