I can access email messages at hotmail.com but when I try to access them in
Outlook I get messages telling me that the message hasn't been downloaded. I
also seem to loose internet connection while I'm in outlook, telling me that
I'm working off-line. But when I access hotmail, I'm connected. I prefer to
have my emails in outlook. Any recommendations?

Do you have the paid version of Hotmail? Otherwise you can't use Outlook
to access them anymore.

This is interesting. There's every evidence that this is true, but for
grins, I decided to create an HTTP account for my _free_ Hotmail account and
guess what? Outlook opens the Hotmail message store with nary a complaint.
I can read all the messages I have there and send mail using the Hotmail
account. So, apparently, for SOME free Hotmail accounts, the service has
not yet been cut off.
