Hi,

I have been checking my email several times daily with MS Outlook XP for the
past year with no problems.

Yesterday I clicked on Send/Receive as usual only to get the following
message: 'Outlook is unable to connect to your incoming (pop30 email
server.'

Nothing has changed in my settings - I've rechecked them all and they are
fine.

I then tried going into Outlook Express to try using exactly the same
settings, and it worked perfectly!

I've tried reinstalling Outlook XP, deleting the mail account and settin it
up again and everything else I can think of, but
to no avail.

I'd really appreciate any help - my ISP don't want to know about me as they
say it's a software problem :-(

Regards,

JF

I don't have an answer, but I've been dealing with the
same problem at our office. On one computer, Outlook is
unable to connect to the incoming mail server, although
OE on the same machine has no problem. I've also tried
deleting the mail account in Outlook, recreating it, and
uninstalling/reinstalling Outlook and nothing seems to
work.

Hopefully someone here will know something.

It sucks as I have everything (folders etc) set up in Outlook and often have
to back them up.

Please let me know if you find a solution - I'll do the same.

Regards,

JF
