email message

On the front screen alongside my name Owner I evidently have '2 unread mai
messages' - I have been into the email account mentioned and there are n
messages there read or unread.. how do I get rid of this message on the X
front screen.please....

What Email did you check? If your using MSN, for instance, XP will tell you
if you have messages on that email address as well. When I boot and the
logon screen tells me I have messages it could either be my Vrizon POP3 or
my MSN mail so I need to check both places. I don't know if that helps or
not but just thought I'd let you know.
