email issue

When i attach my resume (done using Windows task manager) to my email
my receipients tell me they can't open or read it to resend in Word.
know I'm new to XP and as far as i know i dont have Word...is there
way for me to convert the resume done in Task Manager to Word befor
attaching it to my email????? Please help me someone :confused

I have read this about a half-dozen times and it still doesn't make one iota
of sense!

The Task Manager shows you a list of running processes and the amount of CPU
and RAM being utilised. How it can be used to compile a CV beyond me - you
must be awfully clever to have used it for such a purpose. If you have done,
you're a better man than I, Gunga Din...

XP has no native word processing capabilities beyond Notepad (a text editor)
and Wordpad (a basic word processor which creates files that Word can easily
open).

Sounds to me like you may have vanilla Works. Its word processor creates
files which cannot easily be opened in Word.
 
Hi Shannoncat2;

OpenOffice.org reads and writes .DOC files. The application is free,
and also handles Excel & PowerPoint files.
