email help

Any help with this would be appreciated:

An unknown error has occurred. Subject 'movie', Account: 'gold.muskoka.com

Hi Gary. I changed both the outgoing and incoming server to mail.muskoka.com
and it still doesn't work. I can receive mail just not send it. This is
weird because I haven't had any problems in over a year. Thanks for your
assistance.
 
When you got that error was your computer connected to the Internet
via a connection other than Muskoka.com? Let me know if you were
away from your home ISP.
 
I was at home on my laptop.

So you are sure that the laptop was connected to the Internet
via the same provider that owns the mail.muskoka.com server?
 
yes...I haven't changed any settings since vianet bought muskoka.com...i'm
surprised that the incoming and outgoing server is gold.muskoka.com and that
you said it needs to be mail.muskoka.com.
 
the only thing that I can think of is that last week i had my laptop over at
my dad's and tried to use his muskoka.com dial-up...it didn't work...but I
have been using mine since without incident
 
After looking at the server name again, it appears that Vianet may have
changed the name, but actually both names point to the same server,
so it should not matter.
 
Well, you have me stumped. I had no trouble connecting to the
mail.muskoka.com mail server. You might try deleting that account,
restarting Windows Mail, then recreating the account. It shouldn't
make any difference, but you never know. The only other thing
you can do is call up Vianet for help.
