email has attachments ATT00010.txt

When I recieve an email it comes with an attachment of ATT00010.txt. The
content of this txt file is the exact same as the main message. It does this
only with email recieved, not sent. This happens with all the people using
outlook, outlook express works normally.
The systems were all scanned with NAV (updated with most recent def's) with
no viruses detected.

Any suggestions?

Oops. Sorry for the empty reply.

Use "attachments txt" in the Microsoft Knowledgebase search.
 
Rob-J, I am having the same problem with Outlook 2000
with SP-3 (you can read my original post, posted on
4/13/2004 at 1:22 PM). I read Brian Tillman's response,
but could find nothing specific to Outlook in the
knowledge base. There was a similar problem for Outlook
Express, and it suggested deleting all Temp Internet
files and emptying the Windows/Temp directory. I did
that, but it did not help. Still have the same problem.
Have you had any success?

Rob-J, I solved this problem on my machine by the simple
expedient of rebooting! Before rebooting, I had deleted
all cookies, temporary internet files and files in
windows/temp. This latter did nothing, but the reboot
did. You might have to do both.
