Hi guys

I'm using Outlook 2003 SP1 11.6359.6360

I've quite a complex set up with multiple email addresses, from multiple
sources. I use a set of email filtering rules to manage the accounts.

The problem I have is that when email comes into my in-box the filters
should run and do something like (real example)

Apply this rulre after message arrives
with X-DNSBLSite in the message header
and on this machine only
move it to the spam folder
except if sender is in the Contacts address book

I've a bunch of other rules to filter based on which account they are
comming from, mailing lists etc.

The problem is it's copying rather than moving, so I'm getting a copy
placed into the in-box and a copy in the spam (say) folder as well. They
are the same email, right down to the message headers and mail Ids.

Any idea what's going on? I've tried googling for it but can't find
anyone else with the same problem, so it must be something daft I'm
doing wrong.

Thanks
Martin

Try adding the "stop processing more rules" action to each rule.
ok, I will let you know what happens.

I still don't get why if it's told to move a message it copies it
instead. Anyway. I'll post back tomorrow.

Thanks for your suggestion Sue
