Email connect error

When email is accessed, outlook begins to receive mail
then fails with the following error message. The in box
adds a duplicate version of the same email messages eacht
ime you access the account. I have run Norton (no virus)
and checked all outlook setting. I am stumped,,,, anyone
expertise with this type of error?

problems, or a long period of inactivity.
