Email arrival appears lower part of screen

When using Outlook I get an arrival email indicator in the lower left portion
of my screen. How to set this up on other computers.
 
The normal layout of things gives an envelope notification in the lower
right hand portion of the screen in the system notification (or tray) area.
Is that what you're seeing?

Are you speaking of the "blue toast" - the alert that slides up briefly when a
message comes in? Tools>Options>E-mail options>Advanced E-mail
options>Display a New Mail Desktop Alert
