Hi -- Have v4.7 and am just learning about Messenger. Got
a msg saying I need to verify my email address and to go
into my inbox, read a msg from Passport Member services,
etc. Problem is that I don't have any such message. How
can I resolve?
Thanks.

You probably have AOL or Earthlink and most likely your spam filter caught the message that was supposed to arrive from Microsoft. This happens all the time to people. You can a) ignore the message or

b) try to fix it:

1) Add (e-mail address removed) as a contact in your address book.

2) Log into www.passport.com with your email address and .net password.

3) Click on Member Services at the top.

4) Click Edit Profile Information. Change the email address listed to something else (a fake one) and click OK.

5) Edit the Profile Information again and change the email address to your real address.

You should get a new message from "Microsoft.Net Passport" with the email address you added to your address book before. It takes between five and fifteen minutes for this message to arrive. Once it arrives, click the link in the email address to complete the email verification process.
