I have Windows Vista Home Premium pre-installed on a new computer and I
really need help with the following problem,
can anyone tell me how I can hide my email address so that it doesn't so up
in the body or whom it's from?

Why would you want to do that?

Or have you put your email address in the account user info Name box so that
it shows instead of your name?

Tools | Accounts
Double click the account.
Enter what you want them to see.

To keep my email address private.

No I put Windsurffer as my name but it ask for an email address and if you
don't put it in it will not let you continue, it just says enter a valid
email address.

Use something like (e-mail address removed)
(see my return address)
Note: Although it is standard procedure to use a non-working email
address for newsgroups posts, that procedure is not acceptable for
emails since it is equivalent to spamming. Headers of a sent email
contain your originating IP address, so a savvy investigator can
discover the originator even when the return address is forged.

If you don't tell anyone your email address, then you will not have any mail
to worry about will you?
If you write to someone and don't include your address, how do they reply?
You have to think about this a little longer Windsurffer.

Or are you MAYBE talking about subscribing to newsgroups, and keeping your
address private?

Thanks Gary, you saved me a few extra gray hairs lol. Oh by the way I did
rate this post, it's nice to really get help for a change.

Glad to have been of service.
