Hi all,
I've been having some questions with Outlook lately, and I was
wondering if someone could assist me so that I don't ahve to reinstall.

#1 - I recently quit my job, and had my email files burned to CD, and I
copied them on to this pc. I attempted to hit "reply" to one of those
old emails, and a) it didn't go through; and b) from then on out, every
time I send and receive emails I get an error.

The error states:
Task 'Hotmail - Sending' reported error (0x80040201) : 'Unknown Error
0x80040201'

Any Ideas on how to fix that?

#2 - I have 2 Email accounts: a)my school account which is a pop
account; and b) my hotmail account. My hotmail account is my default
account. The problem is that for the past few weeks, ALL Of the emails
that I send (EVEN though I set it up to send from my school account)
end up coming from my hotmail account. When I make an account
selection and select (School Account), and I look at the email, it
shows my hotmail account sent the address, when in fact that I wanted
it to be sent from my school account. This is really aggravating,
because I really don't want to give my hotmail account to everyone that
I email from school...Is there some sort of corruption with my email
accounts that's making my hotmail bleed into my school account or
something? I dunno. Forget I mentioned that. :)

#3 - As of late, Outlook is ALWAYS going into offline mode like really
quickly....probably not even a minute. I click on an email and then i
get the little icon bubble in the taskbar telling me that....of course
now that I'm posting this, it won't give me the exact error :(. But if
anyone has expreienced this, maybe there's a suggestion to fix this?

Thanks!
Rex

Is your Hotmail account a free one or a paid one?

Often caused by failure to authenticate to the account you chose to send the
message. If Outlook can't send the mail to the chosen account, it tries
others.

I don't have any suggestions for this one.

Does Google Groups have a setting to quote the post you are replying to?

Hey Brian,
THanks for asking. That said, I'm not sure how to really navigate with
Google's newsreader, so please bear with me. :) It is a paid hotmail
account, I have about 2GB of storage space total on my hotmail account.
As far as #2, is there anything that I can do to make it authenticate
to the school email account?

Thanks for everything!

A read newsreader like Outlook Express, Forte Agent, or Xnews would work
better.

Do you connect using a POP account or an HTTP account?

Have you enabled the option to authenticate on the Outgoing Server tab of
your account properties pages?

Not that I can see...but I could be wrong. The only options that I see
are: reply, reply to author, forward, print, individual message, show
original and report abuse. But I have cut back on posting to NG's. I
used to live in the Knicks NG, please don't hold that against me, LOL.
But back then I was using Agent. It's been so long, I am not even sure
that the program is sitll around. But in 95-99 it kicked ass. :)

I'm set up as an HTTP for my hotmail account. I just checked the
authentication option and it's working now :) Now hopefully we can get
the others to work :) Thanks for all of your help and patience
