Hi

I tried to email a small Access file to my niece. It is a tutorial and full
of test data. However, I was refused permission to send this type of file. Is
there a way to send the file by maybe renaming the file extension and still
have it recoverable by my niece after she renames the extension..

TIA
Peter

Sure. Rename the file extension, and zip it: Access databases tend to
compress very well, so you're not sending as much over the wire.

She'll then be able to unzip it and rename it, and all should be fine.

Thanks Doug thats great!

Peter
