Does anybody knows if there is a way to read a CD content
with the ElTorito format ??
After I burn a image (ISO) to CD, created with HD2ISO
tool I cannot read the contents of the CD (but it works
fine). I know that this is a "feature" of this format,
but anyone knows how to read this ??
Why am I asking this: because, sometimes, after I burn de
ISO I cannot boot with the CD. It shows the correct
Emulation on the boot screen, but after that shows:
Remove media or any disk
Press any key to restart.
And there is no way to make this CD bootable after it
shows this message. I dont know why this happen, but to
correct this I start all over again the process to create
the CD (create the sdi volume, copy the deployed image,
use the HD2ISO, etc, etc, etc.)
And I want to check if the cd was burn correctly. How to
do this? Any ideas ?

Thanks,

To check if CD was burn correctly. Burn another CD. If you have same error
then be sure that burning is not a problem.

Can you tell us:
1. What HDD partition number you used for XPe during the FBA.
2. What is you HDD size.
3. Have you set all option correctly in hd2iso?
4. What FS type you use?

Hi Slobodan,
I`m sure that the problem is not burning, because I even
already changed my CD burner to see if this is not the
problem.
And I believe that the problem isnt with the XPe too,
because I do not do anything in the posFBA image to
correct the problem.
I think that the problem is the HD2ISO tool or the
SDIMgr, because only using this tools again the CD start
working. It seens to me something like a "dirty" in the
process of creating the CD. But I didnt realize yet where
is the problem.
But for information:
1 - What HDD partition number you used for XPe during
the FBA.

.. I`m using multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)
2. What is you HDD size.

.. The HDD Size is 20GB, but I create a partition with
only 256MB.
3. Have you set all option correctly in hd2iso?

.. Yes, at least I followed the documents about this
process. And, sometimes (most of the times) the CD works
perfectly.
4. What FS type you use?

.. FAT

It all looks ok.

Only difference is that I used disk size smaller than CD size. (I'm creating
virtual disk in SDI file, format it and copy files)
Then I use hd2iso from this small virtual disk. But I don't think that disk
size could be a problem.

For boot test purposes it is enough to create muti OS boot.ini and to copy
it along with ntldr. to CD.
If you reach the OS choice menu, only then you will need to concentrate on
XPe configuration.
