edshell.dll is not an XP file.

edshell.dll probably in %windir%\system32 folder.

Startup reference may be in...
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
[Encrypted Disk Auto Mount] rundll32.exe edshell.dll,MountAll

I have no idea what edshell.dll does.

Locate and then right click edshell.dll | Properties | Version tab

There should be a description on both General and Version tabs.

If edshell.dll is legit, there should be some kind of clue here.

Click a category on the left to display the information on the right.

Thanks Wes, for your help, but no joy this time.

As you probably expected there is nothing else in that line of Registry,
but ( from left to right):
"Encrypted Disk Auto Mount REG_SZ rundll32.exe edshell.dll,MountAll "

I haven't got there the option 'Properties' even. There are "Modify /Delete
/ Rename" only.
I was temted to delet it...;-)
It looked to me as it was some residue after some application or so...

Best as ever -

Jdr

PS.

As I haven't got a clue either, what does this RUNDLL edshell.dll module
is.
I wanted to do a Repair of Win XP, hoping to rectify the problem.
But I couldn't do it because I use two SATA HD and while trying
to do the Repair - and using F6 to install SATA Driver - I'm getting
nowhere. The HDD is not see. Am I doing something wrong.
I've copied out the Integrated drivers from the M/b CD ( Asus P4C800-E)
and it downloaded drivers - and still doesn't see the HDD.
Is it possible that Drivers might be wrong for my:
SATA/7200/250G/8M · B/HIT HDS722540VLAT20 7200/80G=1P · B/HITACHI
IC35L036UWDY10

? ? ?

There were two major errors, but the old culprit
RUNDLL edshell.dll error is still with me...;-)
However PC is running much better.
Thanks for your help, Wess -

Hi, I too have a problem like Jdr....

ejjdiv.dll? I have no idea what it is, yet it keeps on poping up saying
about how the module could not be found...a rundll error aswell

Any ideas?

Thanks
Michael

ejjdiv.dll is probably some type of malware.

Update your antivirus and anti-spyware applications and run full system
scans
