editing macros

Hi

I've created a macro in Word 2003 but I've changed a folder location and
need to edit the macro to reflect the change. However, when I click macro the
edit button is greyed out. Does anyone know what's happening?

and need to edit the macro to reflect the change. However, when I
click macro the edit button is greyed out. Does anyone know what's
happening?

In order to edit the macros in a template, you have to open either (a) a
document based on that template or (b) the template itself. If the template
is "global" (http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/WhatTemplatesStore.htm)
and not directly opened, its macros aren't editable.

Thank you, Jay. I had to open to template itself. I've been scratching my
head for days!
