I am using Access XP and I am trying to change my table
paths and links. I am told to use the linked table
manager but when I choose it, it automatically update the
link for me without asking me to browse and enter my link
(I don't know why?!). Then, how can I edit the path to
the UNC path I want?????

When you got tools->Linked table manager.

In the low left corner, there is a check box X - "Always prompt for new
location"

Check that.

Also note, if you are sitting on the server, then you can still link via
unc, just use network neighbourhood to browse to the back end, and not
simply to browse to the back end file via drive c:
