when adding info to a new page, i cannot edit it as i would in MS Word. the return key doesn't work and cuting and pasting can only be done if i use the edit tab rather than 'control+C' etc, etc. Oftern times, the toolbars are not active

in addition, why does front page open all my hyperlinks in Quick View Plus? After the page is opened, there is no why to get back to the link w/out closing the entire page and starting over (no back button), is this related to the fact that the page is opened in Quick View Plus?
any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi Patrick,

See [md] in-lines below.

[md] Hmm, return inserts a hard paragraph return just as it does in word.
For a line return use shift + enter otherwise it will line wrap at element
boundaries.

[md] I'm a little dumb here but what is Quick View Plus? To preview the
page in FP click on the preview icon on the standard toolbar or use File |
Preview in Browser. If you're previewing the page in Preview, in FP, then
click the reload icon on the standard toolbar to return from click on a
link.
any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!!

To some extent, this is normal. FrontPage and Word are two
very different programs.
the return key doesn't work

Please explain. When you press the return key, what
happens?
and cuting and pasting can only be done if i use the edit
tab rather than 'control+C' etc, etc.

Curious. Do these keys work in other applications?

Some other resident program could be "eating" these
keystrokes. For example, I recently found that WinDVD has
a tray utility that eats Ctrl+F1.
Oftern times, the toolbars are not active.

This is normal. For example, the entire Picture toolbar is
dimmed if no picture is selected.

It sounds as if Quick View Plus is intercepting the
request and doing its own thing.
After the page is opened, there is no why to get back to
the link w/out closing the entire page and starting over
(no back button),

Do you mean in Preview mode? Preview mode is designed for
displaying a single Web page, and not for browsing through
several pages. However, you can go back by right-clicking
the page and choosing Back from the shortcut menu.
is this related to the fact that the page is opened in
Quick View Plus?.

Maybe. I'd try deactivating Quick View Plus and then
seeing if FrontPage works as you like.
