Editing/Cutting Audio Clips

I am in the process of editing my first digital movie. I want to use
sections of songs to accompany video clips. For a one and a half
minute video clip want to have one and a half minute audio clip. I
don't want to start the song at it's begining, for example I want to
cut the first 41 seconds of a song. I imported to song file fine but
am unable to edit out the first 41 seconds.

Please tell me that this is possible in MM2!

Put the song in the audio track (switch to timeline view)

Drag the left edge of the audio clip to the right as far as you want to trim
off the beginning.
Right-click the clip and choose fade-in
