Editable Areas on Dynamic Webpage Template

How do I change the <TITLE> of a web page created by using dynamic webpage
templates. It does not allow me to create editable areas in the header
(between <HEAD> & </HEAD>
 
In Code view in the Head section replace the <title>...</title> tag w/

<!-- #BeginEditable "doctitle" -->
<title>A Default page title</title>
<!-- #EndEditable -->
