In order to use SSI's, I renamed my index.html to index.shtml.

Everything works fine, the page loads from my domain correctly. However,
when I'm viewing my page in IE and right-click "Edit with Microsoft
Frontpage" (like I often do) I get the following error:

"The specified file or Web does not exist."

Frontpage opens the web fine and it takes my PW, but it won't open the
index.shtml page unless I clear the error warning above and double-click the
index.shtml page.

Everything else works fine.

I edited the postinfo.html page, and it's looking for index.shtml as the
homepage.

Any suggestions?

Have you configured FP to edit .shtml pages under Tools | Options | Configure Editors?

Yes, I should have mentioned that I checked that first.

I should also mention that I'm using FP2002.

Ask your host to make sure that index.shtml is the first default document in the list of default
document for your site.

Do you have any problems access the site directly in FP via File Menu | Open web?
